Ingredients

  • 500g Onions
  • 15g Sugar
  • 100ml Water

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions thinly.
  2. Fry the onions in a big pot over medium heat.
  3. Add water as the onions begin to dry up, stirring occasionally.
  4. Continue cooking until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.
  5. Your total cooking time should be around an hour.

Notes

Caramelized onions can be used as a topping for burgers, sandwiches, or as a side dish. They add a sweet and savory flavor to any meal.
